24/7 Availability
All Senior Personnel are available 24 hrs, 7 days a week including public holidays via e-mail or mobile telephones of which is made available to the client.

Detailed Estimates
Detailed estimates are made available on request at no charge to our clients. All that is required is an e-mail from the client requesting the estimate with all the necessary details. An RFE (request for estimate) will then be sent via e-mail to the client to complete and return.

Document Exchange
At no additional cost our dedicated messenger service or contracted courier will deliver and pick up documents on request.

Door to Door Service
Through strategically aligned partners globally, we offer a door to door service of consignments, irrespective of size and mode of transport.

Status Reporting
Daily status reports are updated and sent to clients detailing progress of individual shipments from inception to finalisation. Status reports are set up to each client’s specification.

One Window Contact - Full Team Back up
We offer a single point contact to personally attend to all our client’s needs and requirements yet still benefit from the full back up of a team with the expertise in each area of the process.

Import & Export Permit Applications
Applications are completed and processed on behalf of the client. Regular follow ups with International Trade Administration Commission(ITAC )and Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) until permit has been issued and registered with SARS Customs.

Quality Control
We have formulated internal checklists /Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring and procedures to ensure the seamless process flow of each and every shipment.

Logistics Key Performance Solutions
We have partnered with strategic logistic pioneers, who encompass the same ethics as Elmy Shipping. This allows us to provide complete management of our client’s needs through warehousing, specific transport requirements and up to date status tracking.

Representation at stops
We provide representation for any customs, border or NRCS stops that may require documentation or supervision to ensure our client’s cargo is top priority as well as ensuring that the stop process is closely monitored until release is granted.

Global Representation
We have entered into agreements with various international agents that will facilitate any movement our client requires from outside of South Africa. We can provide a full overview of a client’s shipment progressing through various stages of the supply chain.

Management at Elmy Shipping schedules regular meetings with their clients to discuss the progress of services rendered and/or to meet just to say “thank you” for being a part of the Elmy family.

Reporting Methods According to S.O.P's
To ensure that we keep with our quality check methods, each client will have their personalised standard operating procedure (SOP) identifying how they would like to be updated on their shipments. We provide either/or emailed reports from our operating system, an email confirmation or a simple telephone call.

Training
Elmy Shipping offers training to clients, at no additional cost, on the processes of international trade, Incoterms, primary Customs rules and regulations as well as Customs Affairs.
